Awesome Cake toppers: How to customize or DIY

Many toppers allow for personalized options or customizations like hair color or men's tux color. If they don't, with a bit of paint and a steady hand, YOU can make slight modifications to cake toppers. I have seen people paint the bride's shoes, a small touch that is not usually an option at all. These slight changes can make all the difference for your topper, making it personally yours.

If you'd like a super custom topper, check out FunDeliver.com
for a rendering of you & your groom in just about any outfits! Careers, sports, movie themes, and more.
You can include your wedding date like the couple above did on their jerseys (Oct 20) with the year on the backs (20-12) and their last name. Endless options!
100% handmade. They can be pricey at around $300 with an order lead-time of about 3 weeks.
But you can edit the 2D drawing design several times until it's just right so I'd recommend a month or more lead-time to make sure it's done when you need it.

Do-it-yourself... or maybe have someone do it for you... on the cheap!
Some brides choose to DIY their topper. While I don't recommend doing it yourself as the bride (you have enough stress planning everything else, right?), you could enlist someone else to try their hand at this sort of project. Here are some DIY ideas to get your creative juices flowing. These can save you considerable money as many mainstream toppers cost $15-50 or more.
